Adams Morgan Community Hosts Fundraisers for Avalon Residents

On Monday, October 1, 2007 a devastating four-alarm fire destroyed the Avalon Condominium at 2627 Adams Mill Road NW, leaving approximately 50 residents homeless. The event itself, and the additional safety concerns that have been highlighted in its aftermath, have rocked the Adams Morgan community of Washington DC. Neighbors and friends in the community have organized a fundraiser happy-hour, the proceeds of which will go to the Avalon Fire Relief fund that will directly benefit the residents of the Avalon in their time of need. The fundraiser will take place:

(2436 18th Street, NW Washington DC 20009 - on 18th between Columbia and Belmont)


A $10 donation at the door gets you free food, drink specials, and fabulous prizes donated by local businesses.
